The Horrific Gift that Never Gives
Every day the beautiful rainforests of the Amazon have destroyed due to humansβ pure lack of concern for nature and everything that it brings human life and this planet. While there are multiple devastating effects that deforestation brings to this earth and the quality of other nature, animal life, and human life, I will be focusing on the main three that are believed to be the most detrimental overall. The first devastating reason for concern is the effect that deforestation has on our climate in collaboration with the green-house gas effect. The second major reason for concern is the effect on the indigenous people and the social impact it has on the quality of their lives. Lastly, deforestation contributes to large amounts of extinction of plants and animals that are ultimately extremely devastating to the earth.

In this article, the main point is the overall wellbeing of the earth and the major contributors behind why deforestation occurs specifically in the Amazon as well as what is going to happen if we do not protect it. The author really stresses the importance that rainforests have on our planet and the things that it provides us naturally without altering the habitat in any way shape or form. Another major part of this article is the detail that goes into talking about the different contributors to deforestation and how the vast amount of destruction comes from massive corporations that are investing in things such as logging for wood and paper and agriculture use for palm oil and soy production. In the end, she is able to explain and talk about many different organizations and even some big companies that aid in the prevention of deforestation and what we as a human race can do to help as well.
I will use the article in my essay to help my argument by focusing on the overall devastation that comes from the destruction of rainforests. Talking about the climate change and what this does to our earth and how it will affect our future generations, and how it is controlled and promoted by these big huge companies that are investing in the destruction for their own selfish ways and how overall this is hurting the earth and its people more than helping it. I think that using this article to conclude all my points at the end of my essay talking about all the major issues and providing secure closing facts and arguments it will help end my essay with the proper impact necessary to try and provoke change around the world

This article by Rebecca Lindsay provides more insight into more of the social changes that occur with major deforestation specifically again in the Amazon with the destruction of habitat and the increase if poverty that arises. The people that have been indigenous to the Amazon forests for hundreds of thousands of years suffer just as much as the planet as a whole due to the loss of their homes, family members, culture, jobs and much more. When deforestation is occurring it is not just affecting the planet on an environmental scale but a cultural and moral one.
I will use this essay to appeal to emotion without using my own opinions. I hope to incite anger and outrage of emotion simply by just stating the truest of facts and statements. Without making it personal with my own opinions and using the information on how this is completely destroying peopleβs whole lives and cultures that have been around as long as the forests themselves. I hope to use this towards the beginning of my argument to catch attention and create a sense of anger while reading the rest of my arguments. By the end of my essay, readers will not only be completely informed of the situation at hand specifically the one including our human race but be able to form their own completely thought an opinions on the subjects as well.

The essence of this article is the action we can take moving forward to protect these habitats and the humans and animals that reside within them. The article states multiple facts and issues that arise from deforestation the major one being climate change. There are hundreds of organizations that you can join or just donate to in order to help the efforts of stopping deforestation. In this article, the purpose of stating strictly the harsh facts about the devastating affects of deforestation allows for lots of emotion to be formed within the reader without actually using any emotional appeal. Because of this emotion that is created, it entices the reader to be more informed about the issue especially coming from a major environmental site like National Geographic is. The more readers are informed the more that they are going to want to contribute
I hope to use this article in a similar way. I want to be able to draw emotion out of my readers with my arguments without actually using that emotional appeal that often comes with arguments on issues as big as affecting the planet and the human race as a whole. I will argue and stress the importance of donating to all the organizations that are trying to help stop deforestation in order to preserve this planet for as long as we can for not only our generations but hopefully the thousands of generations to come. Because the organizations are mostly all non-profits and even the smallest of helping hands make the biggest difference, by using this to help conclude all the arguments of my paper I will be able to get my points across as strong as possible.
