The first poster I’m looking at closely is the one with the pink background by the famous street artist Banksy. When i was looking for interesting protest posters this one really caught my eye because i’m a huge fan of Banksy’s work. He’s always been someone who has a specific style of art that you kind of just know when looking at it and it has a certain way of drawing you in. SPecifically with this poster if you break it down and analyze the parts of it they work very well in getting a strict point across. Starting off the pink background is a way to really grab the attention just as it did mine, the man in the monochrome lumberjack outfit has a certain posture about him that gives a very egotistical vibe and the hat he is wearing kind of ,makes you think of something very dictator like in history. Lastly he uses characters from the Jungle Book, a very well known disney movie shown tied up with sad expressions that create a sort of emotion to the photo if children were to see it. The next poster is a more classic type of protest option with a catchy phrase or slogan that easily gets the point across. This one to me is really talking to all the big companies who are just in it for the money portion of the trade and never think about the repercussions that affect the earth, families, and animals. This is probably the poster I would lean more towards creating just because something straightforward and eye-catching is sometimes more effective than something you really want to dissect to understand. A catch phrase I would use for one of my posters would be along the lines of β€œTREES YOU BURN WILL NEVER RETURN” or β€œCUT A TREE KILL A LIFE”. (308)
