Picking a major seems extremely scary if you think about it. Youβre paying thousands of dollars to go through school to study a specific field in hopes of being able to get the job that youβve always wanted even if it is not about the money. PIcking my major was a decision that I had to think really hard about and actually already changed pretty early on into my first semester. Going into school I was a pre-nursing major and this was something I thought that I really wanted to do and had thought about for a while. I soon realized that being a nurse would not be beneficial to the type of life that I want and I started considering other majors such as Education to become a teacher or Nutrition to become a dietician. I am now a Criminal Justice major which is another major I had always thought would be good for me and I plan on sticking with this major. Iβm still not quite sure what path I want to go down with this major but the field of criminal justice has always been something that has definitely peaked my interest, whether itβs becoming apart of law enforcement, becoming a lawyer, or working for the state department all of these fields are very interesting to me. I think that this major will be the best fit for me in the long run because Iβve come from a family with a large military and law enforcement background and its something that Iβve grown up around my whole life and already have a good understanding and comfortability.(269)
